The Unsuperficials for Sustainability

We are four students from emlyon business school, united under the name The Unsuperficials. Our ambition: to go beyond appearances and dive deep into the topic of urban mobility. No superficiality here; just a clear-eyed, committed approach to sustainability. Want to see what drives us? Scroll below to learn more !

ABW

Always positive and looking for creative initiatives from different cultures, ABW is our Super-Tech-Hero. She is the tech specialist of the team and helped built this website. Her piece on CopenPay also reflects her personal interest in countries located in northern Europe and dreams to go to Copenhagen to eat a real cinnamon bun, of course she would go by train!

HS

Being outgoing and friendly, HS naturally emerged as the MediaMan of our project. With a background in marketing and content creation, he took the lead on the website’s media component. Coming from a small village and farming background, he hopes to bring those values into urban settings. He expressed this vision through his article on the 15-minute city concept, which explores how urban environments can foster the close-knit feel of a small village.

LL

Known as Super-Flexi-Hero, she excels at juggling multiple tasks and adapting to changing situations. Having grown up in the Paris suburbs, she has a personal understanding of the mobility challenges and social tensions in the area. Her work on Paris brings these experiences into the project, highlighting the complex realities of urban transition.

MPG

Resolutely grounded yet shooting for the stars, MPG is our Super-Analyst team member! Despite his glasses, he’s got a keen eye for hidden clues and loves spending hours out of the limelight to man the Unsuperficials’ evidence board. He doesn’t measure up to Sherlock Holmes but, then again, who would? His piece on Santiago de Compostela’s pedestrian legacy is a deep dive into the curious world of pilgrimage analysed as a form of radical sustainable travel shaping pilgrims as much as their destinations.
